Can I use chicken instead of pork in the January Recipes? Our family doesn’t like pork.
I would prefer to sub a boneless beef chuck roast, but I think chicken will work. It might not taste as good, but I think it will be OK.
Will you have a menu plan every month? This will be very helpful to me.
Sure, I can do that.
WOW that would be awesome!!! I just did 5 recipes for the January one with my daughter!
The Cherry Pork Loin with Sweet Potatoes Recipe # 3 of the 12 Meals for January doesn’t list broth in the ingredients and I don’t see it listed on the “Not Needed Until Day of Cooking” list. However, in the “To Cook” portion of the recipe it states, “Add contents of freezer bag to crockpot with broth.” How much and what kind of broth?
Also, Recipe #7, Italian Wedding Soup calls for escarole. I have looked at several grocery stores in my area over the past couple of weeks and have been unable to find a store that has escarole in stock. Do you have a suggestion for a more readily available substitute?
The broth is a typo! Sorry about that.
If you can’t find escarole, substitute baby spinach. 🙂
Thanks so much!
Also when you click on the cherry pork loin recipe the meat is beef not pork? Can you please advise?
Thank you for putting this together, looking forward to trying several out!
Dumb question – what size labels do you use?
I used The Avery 3.5” x 5”. I didn’t use the plastic labels, they are quite expensive, but just covered the label in clear plastic tape on the bag.
Thank you
Where’s recipe for cherry pork loin#3? It says pork loin in list of recipes, but recipe is for cherry pot roast?
Thank you! What was the cost of groceries for this menu? Just curious!
Do you have conversions for cooking in instant pot? I made most of the meals but do not always want to use the crock pot.
Is there a feature on the site to put in different serving size so the recipe adjusts your recipe and grocery list
If you only have two people to feed, how do you make this work?
Hi there. Are the 12 crock pot freezer recipes all the recipes…for crockpots. I thought there would be a lot more to choose from. Please advise. Thx so much! LK
Hello! What is the cooking time for Instapot?
I might be missing it but what Avery labels do you use?
I think she uses Avery 3.5” x 5”
Can I use potatoes in lieu of sweet potatoes in the Cherry Pot Roast?
Hi for recipe #12 i couldn’t find whole berry cranberry sauce- can i use jellied cranberry sauce instead?
Hi Kelly. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I watched your live cooking show tonight and OMGosh I am so super excited to get started. My 84 year old mother from Florida came to visit me in Illinois for the holidays and my siblings and I had decided it was time that she moves in with me. This will be something we can do together and also, save me a lot of time that I just don’t have anymore.
ALSO, I just love the monthly planner! I hope you continue this monthly.
Can you please maybe add a link or let us know just what label’s you use?
Again, Thank you!
Cindy
I watched one of your tutorials and you were showing the ability to search by where you would buy groceries, such as Aldi or Costco. I don’t see that here.
When I adjust the serving size to 4 people, it updated the grocery list, but not the instructions. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Kelly..excited to get started..just joined today after watching the free video..you make it look easy..I hope it is..Love food..hate to cook! When you mentioned your bags will be available soon..I could not see them very well on my phone and have a suggestion if you havent already implemented it! A sealable clear pouch on the outside to slip the printed label in…Thanks..I will be happy to upload comments on your program after giving it a few weeks!
I just joined and want to get started right away. I’m having trouble figuring out how to use the site to make my menu and grocery list.
Please Help
Kelly,
I just want to say how excited I am to begin this journey of Food Prep with you!!! I purchased the Avery Labels you suggested & just popped them in my printer & was able to pre-print all of my labels for packaging my meals!! It was so much easier than writing🤣 This membership is well worth the cost. Thanks again, you & your husband are the Bomb!!!
I’m a freezer pro member and I’m unable to access the recipes today, though I had no trouble yesterday.
What is the quickest way to search for a recipe in order to print it?
One of the things I really liked about your demonstration class and one of the reasons I joined was to use the instant pot for cooking. I’m not really a crockpot person. But all of the recipes I see now are slow cooker. How do I convert these recipes to instant pot, like the turkey black bean chili?
When printing the labels are there a suggested label size or number of label I should use ?
Kelly said she used Avery 3.5 inch by 5 in labels. She used paper labels and covered them with plastic tape to protect it.
when will the February meal plan come out? 🙂
I found the monthly Meals. Scroll to the top and where is says 12 Meals in January. To the right of that it says Monthly Meal Plan click on that and there are all the months. I hope this helps
